OUR CONTRACT IS STILL IN DISPUTE, THE TOWN OF BOONTON MAYOR AND COUNCILE COMMITED AN UNFAIR LABOR PRATICE ON APRIL 1, 2019 WHEN THE BOARD FAILED TO REDUCE A SIGNED AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWN AND PBA 212 INTO A FINAL CONTRACT. THIS MATTER IS PENDING COURT ACTION BY PREC (PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS COMMISSION).


IN A ATTEMPT TO DRAW PBA 212 INTO A MULTI YEAR, EXPENSIVE LEGALE BATTLE, THE TOWN OF BOONTON FILED FOR ARBITRATION. AN ARBITRATOR RESIDES OVER A COURT ROOM TYPE PROCEEDING, ATTORNEYS ARE REQUIRED AND SEVERAL MEMBERS OF PBA 212 WERE REQUIRED TO TESTIFY (ALL MEMBERS OF THE BOARD REFUSED TO GIVE TESTIMONY). UPON COMPLEATION OF THIS LEGAL PROCEEDING THE ARBITTRATOR ISSUED AN AWARD REGARDING COMPENSATION. THIS DID NOT RESOLVE THE CONTRACT DISPUTE OR THE UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE, IT WAS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY TO DRAW THE PROCESS OUT AND BLEED THE PBA OF FUNDS WITH EXORBITANT LEGALE FEES. THE TOWN OF BOONTON CONTINUES TO USE UNLIMITED TAX PAYER DOLLARS TO PAY ITS LABOR ATTORNEY, AND TO DRAG THE MEMBERS PBA  212 INTO A PROTRACTED LEGAL PROCEEDINGS IN AN ATTEMPT TO BREAK OUR RESOLVE FOR JUSTICE.


THE TOWN OF BOONTON CAN NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT THEY NEGOTIATED IN BAD FAITH, THEY CAN NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT THEY COMMITTED SEVERAL UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICES. THE TRUTH IS THE TRUTH, PBA 212 IS COMMITTED TO SEEING THESE WRONGS CORRECTED, DESPITE THE TOWNS ATTEMPTS AT MISDIRECTION.


THE MEMBERS OF PBA 212 SUPERIOR OFFICERS ASSOCIATION ARE STILL WITHOUT A CONTRACT AND HAVE BEEN FROZEN IN SALERY SINCE 12/31/2017 WHEN THE LAST CONTRACT EXPIRED.


WE ARE HOPEFUL THAT WITH THE RE-ORGANIZATION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL IN 2020, THE TOWN OF BOONTON WILL BE WILLING TO CORRECT THE MISDEEDS OF THE PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATION SO THIS DISPUTE CAN BE RESOLVED WITHOUT FURTHER IMPACT TO THE TAX PAYER OR THE MEMBERS OF PBA 212.
